COVID-19 Preparedness Plan ⚠️

IMPORTANT NOTICE for CLIENTS

⚠️

1. Per the reopening guidelines put in place by Governor Walz’s Stay Safe Plan, both hair stylists and salon clients are required by Minnesota state law to wear masks during appointments.

2. Clients that have signs of a fever, cough, sore throat or that exhibit any symptoms of being sick are respectfully asked to reschedule their appointment for a later date. For the safety of both other clients and myself I cannot permit anyone exhibiting any symptoms listed above into the salon studio until those symptoms have dissipated. For everyone’s safety normal cancellation policy penalties will be voided under these unique circumstances.

3. I respectfully request that clients wait outside of the Phenix Salon building 6 feet apart from others or in their vehicle prior to their appointment. You may call to check-in for your appointment upon your arrival and I will come out to escort you into the locked facility once I’m available. Again, please be aware I cannot allow you into the building unless you are wearing a face mask.

Thank you
for your understanding.

To my wonderful clients,

Over the recent months we’ve all experienced a lot of firsts due to COVID-19. From the initial onset of Governor Walz’s March 18, 2020, statewide mandated business closure orders up to this present moment I have been anxiously awaiting the “all clear” for salon business owners to reopen so I can finally begin sharing my exciting, private studio space with you!

As you may already be aware, the Governor has announced that the state is working on plans to allow salons to resume business on June 1, 2020. While there are no guarantees, I am hopeful that Minnesota’s salons are permitted to reopen then. With this date scheduled in, I’ve set the grand opening date for my private salon studio for June 1st, 2020! I am currently accepting appointment bookings both online and via phone. I am excited for my next chapter to begin.

I want my clients to know that I’ve taken extra precautions to ensure I not only meet all of the guidelines set forth by the state, but plan to exceed them. One of the foundational values I’ve built my business around is to create a safe, private and inclusive space that supports my client’s mental, emotional and physical well-being. The best way to help ensure this is to practice great salon and personal hygiene always – not just during this public health emergency.

I will continue to post updates here, on my social media pages, and via email/phone call/text with clients who have already scheduled an appointment with me as reopening approaches. Thank you for your understanding during this time, and please stay safe and healthy!

Bliss Hair Co.
Sanitization measures

A UNIQUELY Private Studio setting

Many individuals may be afraid or potentially more at risk of contracting the COVID-19 virus and therefore may not want to be around a lot of people. Unlike multi-chair salons, my Bliss Hair Co. salon offers clients a private and personal studio environment where no one will ever haphazardly walk in, interrupt, or disturb us during your appointment. My exclusive studio space lends itself beautifully to eliminating unnecessary exposure to shared community spaces and items, such as washbowls, styling chairs, dryers, and workstations with other clients and hairstylists located just feet apart from each other. While there is a beautifully tranquil entryway in the Phenix Suites building and my suite is equipped with a small bench located just outside of the room which is perfectly suited for a single client, I respectfully request during these unique times that clients wait outside of the Phenix Salon building 6 feet apart from others or in their vehicle prior to their appointment. You may call to check-in for your appointment upon your arrival and I will come out to escort you into the locked facility once I’m available. Again, please be aware I cannot allow you into the building unless you are wearing a face mask.

As your personal hairstylist, I am committed to:

  • Keeping suite doors closed at all times.
  • Scheduling all client services with 15 minute gaps to allow for proper sanitation procedures between all visits.
  • Greeting each client at the front door for access to the building.
  • Consistently washing my hands between each and every appointment.
  • Wearing a fresh apron and gloves during each service.
  • Wearing a face mask as required by state law during each service.
  • Providing you with a clean cape and towel for each service.
  • Sanitizing all door studio handles (inside and out), surfaces, chairs, tables, washbowls, etc. with  disinfectant before and after each client.
  • Sanitizing all combs, brushes, clippers and shears with disinfectant before and after each client.
  • Removing any unnecessary frequently touched luxury items such as service menus, magazines, test products, and candy dishes.
  • Performing a thorough cleaning and disinfecting of the studio at the end of each business day.
